form which this image was taken advertises the tavern as
"the place to
meet your friends" and "drink, dine, and dance."
The Miller Springs Tavern was
located 2 1/2 miles north of Belton on Moody Road.

The Morgan place, a
stately rock home named "Stonewall," had to be moved
because
it was located below the taking line. The home was movbed stone
by stone to a new
site north of Belton.

The laying of the
conerstone for the relocated Morgan home was cause for a
gathering
of friends and family. Enjoying the picnic are (from right to
left) Ed. Morgan, Edmund
Morgan, Evan Morgan, and Mettie Thomas Normand.
