ALPHABET HIKE
| Purpose: | To improve students' observation skills, To reinforce letter sounds and alphabet order, To expand the vocabulary of students. |

| Materials: | Clipboard, pencil, alphabet hike sheet. |
| Procedure: | Divide students into small groups with an adult or student who writes
well to act as the group recorder. Walk down one of the trails and record the name of an object, either natural or man-made, that begins with each letter of the alphabet. Record only objects that the children actually see. You may not find all of them. |
