Objectives:
Students will be able to:
1. To use the inter net for research
2. To identify and describe people living in the world's rain forest
Procedure:
1. Get the students on line with Netscape Navigator.
2. In the location box, have the students type in the following address and go to that web site.

3. The students can work alone or in groups, depending on computer availability.
Questions:
1. What does the word 'indigenous' mean?
2. What did Christopher Columbus mistakenly name the indigenous people of North and South America?
3. We get most of the supplies we need for survival from stores. Where do some of the people of the tropical rain forest get everything they need to survive?
4. Name 3 ways that food can be obtained by indigenous people?
5. Describe some ways that indigenous people cultivate their land?
Evaluation:
The students add their research to their journal or catalog.
